Peter Ajtai - Solutions Architect

Peter is the Solutions Architect here at Solid. When he isn't making wonders happen in the code of our client's projects, he is helping Solid Interactive become a better workplace. He took a moment to share a few insights with us:

Q: Who is your tech inspiration?

peter-_addyI’ve always been impressed by how much developer-friendly writing Addy Osmani does, in addition to his day job on the Chrome team, and working on Yeoman, etc. Being able to get a lot of useful things done in a short amount of time has always inspired me, and is something I strive for.

Q: What is your strongest computer language?

JavasScript, and now that it’s on the server too, I’m really dangerous.

Q: What is your favorite movie?
The Big Blue - I used to go diving quite a bit.

Q: What is your favorite music or musician?

Depends what for. Jack Johnson to relax. Jarabe de Palo to ponder.

Q: What music/musician do you code to?

Whatever. Changes all the time.

Q: What website can you NOT live without?

There are several answers to this question. Recently I've started taking the Max (PDX light rail) to work, so the most literal answer is: http://trimet.orgI'm partially addicted to: https://news.ycombinator.com/ and I'd probably be fired for not knowing anything about programming without: http://stackoverflow.com/

Q: Do you have a tattoo? If you could get one, what would it be?

No. I'd get something that would be perceived as humorous and slightly thought provoking when given as an answer to, "If you got a tattoo, what would it be?"

Q: If you could do ANYTHING, what would it be?

Sail around the world with my wife and daughter in a sailboat name the Glug-Glug. Yes, it's a funny name for a sailboat, but the decision was made decades ago.
